Baltic Connect MTÜ (registry code 80662287, Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, 10115 Tallinn, Estonia) is the controller of personal data processed through this website. Write to us at info@balticconnect.io.

What we collect

When you join the community we collect your name, your email address, and your country if you pick one, so that we can admit you and tell you about events. The newsletter box is separate, never pre-ticked, and joining does not depend on it.

If you fill in an event feedback form we collect your ratings and written answers, together with a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser type to catch spam and duplicate submissions — we cannot recover your IP address from the hash. Feedback is voluntary, and we only quote you publicly if you tick the box that asks.

With your consent we also measure how the site is used, including a session replay of page interaction. Anything you type is masked in your browser before a replay is recorded, and the join form is excluded from recording entirely. Separately, our host collects aggregate visit statistics that set no cookie and store nothing on your device.

Who else sees it

Cloudflare hosts this site and our database, so it necessarily handles every request. Luma, our event platform, receives your email address and name so that you appear on our event list. PostHog provides the analytics above, on its EU infrastructure in Frankfurt, and only if you accept. They act on our instructions and for no purpose of their own. Cloudflare and Luma are US companies; those transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your membership details until you ask us to remove you, and feedback for as long as we are still using it to plan events. Ask us and we will delete either.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or ask for it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent — the newsletter, analytics, and quoting your feedback — you can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it: use the link in the footer, the unsubscribe link in any email, or a note to us. Withdrawing does not affect what we did beforehand. Email info@balticconnect.io and we will answer within a month. We do not sell personal data, we run no advertising trackers, and we make no automated decisions about you.

If we get something wrong, tell us first — we would rather fix it. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, Tatari 39, 10134 Tallinn, info@aki.ee), or to your own authority in Latvia or Lithuania.
